Mr. Cyrus Bhathawalla is a Director in KPMG’s financial services and payments consulting practice, seconded to the USA with over 7 years of experience in the banking and payments industry.  Mr. Bathawalla has focused experience with multiple Australian Tier 1 banks on payments remediation, transformation, and processing analysis projects.  More recently, Mr. Bhathawalla served as the Design Lead for the KPMG AU team that centralized 17 Australian FI’s in support of developing the New Payments Platform (NPP) Real-Time Payments infrastructure.  Since moving to the USA, Cyrus has focused on supporting infrastructure operators, banks, and corporates in understanding the opportunities and implications of real-time payments – leading and supporting technology design, implementation, revenue analysis, and productization efforts.

While at Mastercard, Mr. Blanco was VP Product Management, responsible for defining the Debit strategy in the U.S. as well as developing new products and solutions; during his tenure at Visa, Mr. Blanco was a member of Visa Inc.’s Consulting Services leading consulting engagements with financial institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean region.

Mr. Clayton was the first lead architect for the Payments Practice in IBM Global Business Services (GBS) when it was first formed in 2000.  In 2006, Mr. Clayton directed the implementation of the first payment services hub using IBM’s Enterprise Payments Platform (EPP) at the 4th largest bank in the U.S.  EPP was the forerunner of IBM’s current Financial Transaction Manager (FTM), an IBM program product which is now enhancing payments processing at numerous banks around the world.

Ms. Jan Estep is president and chief executive officer of NACHA — The Electronic Payments Association.  NACHA oversees the Automated Clearing House (ACH) Network, the backbone for the electronic movement of money and data. As president and CEO, Estep guides NACHA’s daily operations and rulemaking processes, and encourages the development, promotion, and use of electronic payment solutions such as Direct Deposit via ACH and Direct Payment via ACH. William Fox

Mr. Isaacson recently served as the Federal Reserve’s Faster Payments Strategist, where he led the Federal Reserve’s Faster Payment Task Force effort. Ken previously served as the Chair of the Future Payments Team, where he led a staff responsible for research and analysis in support of the Federal Reserve Banks’ initiative to improve the payments system in the United States. Mr. Isaacson has more than 20 years of payments, liquidity and bank supervisory experience at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, and leads or participates on numerous industry committees related to high value payment systems and Fedwire services.

More recently he was SWIFT’s Programme Director for the development of Australia’s New Payments Platform (NPP).  Mr. Newman has 20 years’ experience in financial markets and market infrastructures globally, designing and managing RTGS systems and SWIFT’s role in payment systems.

Kathleen Oldenborg

Ms. Kathleen Oldenborg is Director for Payments Systems Risk Policy at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). In this role, Ms. Oldenborg is responsible for recognizing, measuring, monitoring, and reporting payment risk, developing metrics for payment risk exposure, training examiners in payment risk, and ensuring that banks keep pace with advances in payment technology and delivery channels. Her team monitors mobile payments, virtual currencies, big data, and crypto-currencies to determine when the industry is ripe for guidance. She brings a wealth of business and government skills to her position at the OCC, beginning her career in the banking industry in the early 1970s at Marine Midland Grace Trust Company. She then went on to various other trust and compliance jobs in the private sector.

Ed O’Neill

Mr. Ed O’Neill joined the Federal Reserve in January 2016 as Assistant Vice President of Secure Payments. In his role, Mr. O’Neill is responsible for the design, development and implementation of key elements of the Federal Reserve’s payment security strategy to reduce fraud risk and advance the safety, security and resiliency of the U.S. payment system. Mr. O’Neill also supports the 170+ member Secure Payments Task Force in meeting its objectives and serves as the Federal Reserve’s liaison for the Task Force’s Information Sharing and Data Protection work groups. Mr. O’Neill began his career in Financial Services in 2001 with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, where he held business analyst and information security positions in the Retail Payments department and the Customer Relations and Support Office.

Samantha Pelosi

Ms. Samantha Pelosi has accumulated nearly 20 years of legal and regulatory experience in payments, compliance, and international business transactions. She recently joined BAFT as its Senior Vice President, Payments and Innovation to drive the organization’s activities in payments, innovation, financial crime, and cybersecurity. Previously, she held several positions at The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. She was Manager of the Retail Payments Section of the Reserve Bank Operations and Payment Systems Division from 2011-2016 and Senior Attorney of the Regulation Section of the Consumer & Community Affairs Division from 2009-2011. Prior to the Fed, Ms. Pelosi designed and executed compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls for Travelex Global Business Payments (now Western Union Business Solutions) and served as the corporation's liaison to the regulatory community. She also held the position of Senior Counsel at the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) of the U.S. Department of the Treasury and worked as an associate attorney at the law firm of Morrison & Foerster.

Ms. Jane Raso is Senior Counsel in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB) Office of Regulations, where she works on payments, credit reporting, privacy, data security, and innovation issues.  Ms. Raso is the Regulations lead on the CFPB’s assessment of the Remittance Transfer Rule.  In addition, Ms. Raso has worked extensively on mortgage origination and servicing issues.  Prior to joining the Bureau, Ms. Raso was a corporate associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP, in Chicago, where she represented a variety of public and private companies, as well as private equity funds.

Gina Russo

Ms. Gina Russo is an Assistant Vice President in the Wholesale Product Office at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.  The Wholesale Product Office is responsible for strategic planning, product development, and oversight of the Federal Reserve System's Fedwire Funds Service, Fedwire Securities Service, and National Settlement Service.  Ms. Russo’s responsibilities are focused on the Fedwire Funds Service where she is currently leading the effort to adopt the ISO 20022 payment messages for the Fedwire Funds Service. Prior to joining the Wholesale Product Office in June 2002, Ms. Russo spent seven years as a financial services analyst at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington, DC.

Joseph Sabo

He has worked cyber cases for over ten years, where he has investigated intrusions, malware, botnets, financial fraud, and various internet scams. SSA Thompson currently heads the FBI sponsored Financial Cyber Crimes Task Force with investigators from federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies in the New York City area.

Mr. Wojciechowicz has been engaged in the financial services industry since 1990.  He re-joined Deutsche Bank in 2012 after having worked for HSBC where he was responsible for expanding the bank’s funds transfer services.  Prior to HSBC, he had a variety of roles at SWIFT, including selling to large corporates and managing the development of SWIFT’s file transfer service and foreign exchange confirmation-matching product in North America.
