Jan Blaho

Mr. Jan Blaho is the director of Supply Chain Finance at the Export-Import Bank of the United States. Prior to joining the Export-Import Bank, Mr. Jan Blaho, a native of the Slovak Republic, most recently worked for VUB Bank in Slovakia, where he was a Member of the Board and the Executive Director responsible for the Corporate Banking Division. While there, he directed a staff of over 200 employees and worked with Structured Trade Finance, Syndications, and Small and Medium Enterprises. Mr. Blaho also has experience with the largest Czech Bank in Prague, Czech Republic, where he managed the division responsible for Structured Finance and Corporate Banking. During his days in Prague he represented CSOB on the Board of Supervisors of CSOB’s joint venture with MNR Rothschild.


Christopher Bozek

Mr. Christopher Bozek is managing director and head of Global Product and head of North America for Global Trade and Supply Chain Finance in Global Transaction Services at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. In this position, Mr. Bozek leads the Global Trade and Supply Chain product team that is focused on delivering processing and financing solutions that improves a client’s end-to-end global supply chain, while optimizing working capital. In March of 2016, he also assumed responsibility for the North America business for Trade and Supply Chain Finance. Mr. Bozek is committed to digitizing and simplifying trade transacting, engaging to advance leading edge projects in Blockchain, Robotics Processing Automation, and Smart Data Capture.


Kimberly Burdette

Mrs. Kimberly Burdette is a Senior Vice President in Capital Markets for PNC Bank and the manager of its International Financial Institutions business. She has responsibility for the relationship, credit and compliance management of international banks with which PNC engages. PNC provides a wide range of trade, treasury management, balance sheet management and capital markets solutions and services to international financial institutions operating in the US and abroad. Mrs. Burdette has worked for PNC Bank and its predecessor, Pittsburgh National Bank, for 30 years. Mrs. Burdette is currently EVP of PNC’s edge act subsidiary, PNC Bank International. She also serves as Chair for the BAFT Board of Directors.


Tod Burwell

Mr. Tod Burwell is the President and Chief Executive Officer of BAFT. Prior to being promoted to CEO, he served as the Senior Vice President of Trade Products with oversight of all trade-related initiatives including the Global Trade Industry Council, Trade Committees, and other strategic initiatives of the organization. Mr. Burwell has over 25 years of trade, supply chain and cash management experience as a banking practitioner, as well as serving as a consultant to global corporations and suppliers of strategically integrated trade solutions. Prior to joining BAFT, Mr. Burwell was a Managing Director at JPMorgan Chase and held senior global management roles responsible for trade operations, launching the logistics business and managing global product sales for trade finance and logistics management.


Dominic Capolongo

Mr. Dominic Capolongo joined PrimeRevenue in 2016, and is responsible for leading our bank and capital markets funding strategies and execution. He focuses on building global, scalable and highly efficient funding structures that maximize options for supporting PrimeRevenue’s programs. Mr. Capolongo began his career as an attorney and was a partner with Kaye Scholer before joining DLJ as a senior banker. Mr. Capolongo brings tremendous strategic and capital markets experience in all areas of finance having held senior positions at, among others, Credit Suisse and RBC Capital Markets in addition to DLJ.


Brad Carr

Mr. Brad Carr has led the IIF’s submissions on the finalization of Basel III, the IIF-ISDA Cumulative Capital Impact analysis, and the IIF RWA Task Force review of banks’ credit risk modelling practices. Mr. Carr previously worked at National Australia Bank for 15 years in a variety of capacities, including credit, active portfolio management and relationship management. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Western Australia and Masters in Science & Technology Commercialization from the University of Adelaide. He is accredited as a Certified Basel III Professional with the Basel III Compliance Professionals Association.


Kittredge Carswell

Mr. Kitt Carswell has 30 plus years’ experience providing trade technology for banks and their corporate customers globally, including five years running Corporate Banking for Europe. As Senior Offering Manager for CGI’s Trade and Supply Chain Solutions group, he is responsible for the strategic direction of CGI’s Trade360 global transaction platform and strategic business partnerships. Mr. Carswell has lead Trade360’s evolution from a global traditional trade solution into a fully integrated global platform with front-to-back and end-to-end solutions for traditional trade, payables, receivables, collateral management and cash management.

Mr. Peter Cazamias develops strategies to expand small business exports through OIT’s trade finance and grant programs. He leads OIT’s Federal Government interagency coordination efforts. Prior, he worked in the infrastructure/energy sectors: as segment manager for FMC Technologies in Houston; Asia Pacific CFO for Insituform Technologies in Hong Kong; and CEO of Insituform India in Delhi. Mr. Cazamias served as an Officer of Marines, achieving the rank of Captain. He received a BA in Political Science from Yale University, a law degree from The University of Texas, and an MBA from The Wharton School. He speaks Spanish, Italian, French, and some Mandarin.


Andy Colgan

Mr. Andrew Colgan is a Director at Mizuho Bank, Ltd New York (“Mizuho”), where he works in the bank’s Global Transaction Banking Department. Mr. Colgan is a veteran trade financier, having started his career in 1987 at Manufacturers Hanover Trust, Co. At Mizuho, Mr. Colgan’s primary focus is managing the Bank’s Supply Chain Finance business in the Americas. Mr. Colgan has over 30 years of experience in commercial and investment banking. He’s held various marketing, sales and management positions in trade product sales/development and distribution at leading financial institutions such as NatWest Bank Plc, Standard Chartered Bank, BNP as well as at boutique financial services firms.


Stacey Facter

Ms. Stacey Facter is a Senior Vice President, Trade Products where she has oversight of all trade-related advocacy, education and product-related initiatives for the association and its membership. She participates in BAFT trade committees and regional councils to advance the trade finance agenda of member institutions, including working toward standardizing trade definitions, documentation and regulations for industry adoption and consistent use. Ms. Facter has more than 25 years of experience in international banking, including over 20 years with JP Morgan Chase, covering emerging markets, international trade finance, cash and risk management, and securities collateral management.


Fabio Jose Fagundes

Mr. Fabio Jose Fagundes joined the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC) in 2016 as Chief of the Financial Products and Services Division. This Division includes Trade and Supply Chain Finance, Capital Markets Solutions, Equity ∓ Mezzanine, and Resource Mobilization, and works with all IIC’s client sectors in developing new products and in structuring transactions with a high development impact. Mr. Fagundes is a dual citizen of Brazil and the United Kingdom, has almost 25 years of experience in the international finance industry. He has received many industry awards and has been a well-received speaker in conferences and seminars. Prior to joining the IIC, he was from 2010 to 2016 the Global Head of Trade Asset Mobilization for the Santander Group in Madrid, Spain.

Dennis Foldenauer

Mr. Dennis Foldenauer is the Illinois and Wisconsin Regional Manager for SBA's Export Solutions Group at the U.S. Export Assistance Center in Chicago. In this role he reviews SBA export loan applications and provides technical assistance to exporters and export lenders on SBA's International Trade, Export Express and Export Working Capital Products. Previously, Mr. Foldenauer served as a Supervisory Economic Development Specialist in SBA's Illinois District Office and an Economic Development Representative for the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration.


Troy Fuhriman

Mr. Troy C. Fuhriman is Acting Chief Banking Officer and Senior Vice President, Export Finance at the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM), the official US Government export credit agency. Mr. Fuhriman came to EXIM in January 2017 as an appointee of the Trump Administration. Prior to joining EXIM, he worked as a professor of law at a flagship national university in South Korea. He managed international affairs for that law school for five years. He has taught law, economics and business courses for universities in the United States, Asia and Europe. Mr. Fuhriman also served as an attorney in the legal and compliance departments at Deutsche Bank's Wall Street offices, with an AmLaw 100 law firm’s business and finance transactions department in New York City, and at a leading Las Vegas law firm. He has founded, led and advised various small businesses, including working over a decade as an officer of a successful defense-oriented optics R&D company that he co-founded in Redmond, Washington.


Nitin Gaur

Mr. Nitin Gaur currently serves as Director of IBM Blockchain Labs - serving to device industry standards, use cases and working towards making blockchain for enterprise a reality. Peter Hunter

Mr. Dan Juliano has over 25 years of experience in SaaS and working capital solutions. He was part of the founding team of PrimeRevenue where he built up the business as part of the leadership team to the largest multi-funding platform for Supply Chain Finance. Prior to joining PrimeRevenue, Mr. Juliano worked for software companies such as Telesis and Intelisys, bringing to market B2B solutions such as ERP and supply chain management, e-procurement, and integration. Prior to founding the Financial Institutions Group, Mr. Knapp spent over 24 years in international banking, holding senior management positions in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East. He is a former Director of BAFT and currently is a member of BAFT’s Innovation Council and the Membership Committee. Mr. Michael Kornblau is the US Trade Credit Practice leader responsible for the practice across the six US offices and 15 trade credit professionals. Mr. Kornblau joined our firm in 2010 after nine years at another major trade credit insurance broker, seven years at a credit insurance underwriter and four years in the banking industry. Mr. Walter J. Mix III is a Managing Director and heads the Financial Services practice at Berkeley Research Group. He is a former commissioner of the California Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) and also previously served as a banking executive at Union Bank of California. He has significant experience in strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, and capital planning. John Monaghan

Mr. John Monaghan serves as Managing Director of Real Estate Finance at CIT Group Inc. Mr. Monaghan has more than 20 years of experience in real estate finance and business banking. Most recently, he served as Director of U.S. Property Finance where he oversaw the full business development cycle including credit proposal, security finalization and fund drawdown. Prior to that, he served as a Senior Manager for the Specialist Property Group, a team formed to manage distressed real estate loans up to $75M. He has also held management roles in global property finance and commercial banking. Mr. Monaghan is a member of the Real Estate Lenders Association (RELA), the institute of Bankers in Ireland and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. Katharine became editor in chief of Trade ∓ Forfaiting Review (TFR) in January 2017. Before that, she was editorial director at EuroFinance, part of the Economist Group. She edited Treasury Perspectives magazine and has researched, written and moderated financial conferences worldwide. She has been a consultant on capital markets, and has edited on risk, economics, environment and finance for Finance Asia and Euromoney, Dow Jones and Bloomberg. Ms. Morton has a degree in economics from King’s College, Cambridge, UK and is an exhibited artist.

Kent Paisley

He joined Allied World in 2013 as SVP, Canadian Head of Specialty Lines as part of the team charged with establishing the Canadian branch office of Allied World Specialty Insurance Company, in Toronto. Mr. Paisley brings his 28+ years of experience in trade credit insurance and banking to the development of Allied World’s trade credit and accounts receivable platform in North America. He, previously built two MGAs representing Lloyd’s capacity in Canada, focused on Short Term, Medium Term, Political Risk and Terrorism insurance. Prior to that he spent 14 years as a specialist in trade credit establishing AIG’s trade credit business in Canada as well as launching AIG’s first web based credit insurance product.

As the U.S. affiliate of the Business and Industry Advisory Committee (BIAC) to the OECD, International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and International Organization of Employers (IOE), USCIB provides business views to policy makers and regulatory authorities worldwide and serves as U.S. National Guaranteeing Association for the ATA Carnet system for temporary imports. Mr. Robinson previously served as USCIB’s senior vice president and chief operating officer. He helped establish key USCIB practice areas, including e-commerce and customs/trade facilitation, and has extensive experience with USCIB’s global network of business affiliates, enabling him to lead USCIB’s work in international regulatory diplomacy.


Shehzad Sharjeel

Mr. Shehzad Sharjeel is the Head of Global Trade Finance Program (GTFP) at International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group. GTFP is a USD 5 billion global program which extends and complements the capacity of banks to deliver trade financing by providing risk mitigation coverage. The GTFP network comprises of more than 500 banks globally operating in more than 90 countries. Mr. Sharjeel is responsible for program oversight and growth leading a team at global level. He joined IFC in 2008 as a Trade Finance Officer to develop IFC’s trade activities in the Middle East & North Africa Region based out of the regional office in Cairo.

In this role, Mr. Sullivan directs the U.S. Department of Commerce’s efforts to strengthen the global competitiveness of U.S. services firms, which account for 80 percent of the nation’s private sector economy. His primary areas of focus include the financial, digital and internet, supply chain, and professional and business services industries. Prior to joining Commerce, Mr. Sullivan was cofounder and president of TKOUT, as SaaS provider of on-demand ordering solutions for ICT (information and communication technology) and digital media companies.

Mr. Michael Vrontamitis is responsible for Standard Chartered’s trade finance business with European and American headquartered companies as well as the business across sales, product, service and implementation in Europe and the Americas. Mr. Vrontamitis is Chair of the BAFT Global Trade Industry Council and a member the ICC Banking Commission Advisory Board and World Trade Board. He co-chairs the ICC working group on the digitization of trade finance. He previously chaired the SWIFT Offshore CNY Best Practice Working Group – Cash & Trade Group and in 2014 he was recognized by The Asset as The Renminbi Banker of the Year in the Industry Achievement Awards of the Triple A Treasury, Trade and Risk Management Awards.

Mr. Oscar Wehtje is the Head of Product Development at the London Metal Exchange. He is leading the new product and service initiatives undertaken by the exchange, including the electronic receipting system LMEshield that helps reduce the risk of fraud on warehoused metal. Mr. Wehtje joined the LME in October 2013, having previously worked in the Financial Institutions Group at UBS. He started his career in the Financial Services practice of management consulting firm Oliver Wyman.
