Mr. Buddy Baker is currently Vice President and head of Global Trade Solutions Delivery for Fifth Third Bank. He is a recognized expert in trade finance and author of numerous magazine articles and the books Users’ Handbook to Documentary Credits under UCP600, Documentary Payments & Short-Term Trade Finance, and The Regulatory Environment of Letters of Credit and Trade Finance. He participated in the recent revision of the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (referred to as “UCP600”), contributed to the creation of the official ICC guide for examining letter of credit documents, called the International Standard Banking Practices for the Examination of Documents under Documentary Credits, and served on the drafting committees for the International Standby Practices (“ISP98”), and Article 5 of the Uniform Commercial Code.

Mr. Alan Enslen leads Maynard Cooper's International Trade Group and is co-founder of the firm’s Government Solutions group. He practices in the area s of international trade (with emphasis on export controls, economic sanctions, and anti-corruption), specialized civil litigation, and government investigations. He practices out of Maynard Cooper's Birmingham, Huntsville, and Mobile offices and previously served on the firm’s Executive Committee.


Stacey Facter

Ms. Stacey Facter is a Senior Vice President, Trade Products where she has oversight of all trade-related advocacy, education and product-related initiatives for the association and its membership. She participates in BAFT trade committees and regional councils to advance the trade finance agenda of member institutions, including working toward standardizing trade definitions, documentation and regulations for industry adoption and consistent use. Ms. Facter has more than 25 years of experience in international banking, including over 20 years with JP Morgan Chase, covering emerging markets, international trade finance, cash and risk management, and securities collateral management.

Mr. Robert Foutts is an Executive Director with JPMorgan Chase Bank and serves as the Global Transaction Control Manager for Global Trade Operations. In his current role, he is responsible for managing trade transaction risk, trade operational risk, trade regulatory and compliance issues and sanctions screening for Trade Operations. He has vast experience in applying and interpreting the rules applicable to Trade Products (including the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP 290, UCP400, UCP500 and UCP600); the ISP98; the Uniform Rules for Demand Guarantees (URDG); the Uniform Rules for Collections (URC522) and the Uniform Rules for Bank to Bank Reimbursements (URR 525 and URR725). He is an active participant in BAFT and is an Appointed Expert in DOCDEX (Documentary Instruments Dispute Resolution Expertise).

Normand Girard is Director, Trade Finance Operations for BMO Financial Group. He is responsible for the Bank’s processing of all trade finance products in Canada and the United States. Mr. Girard has over 25 years of experience in Trade Finance Operations at BMO Financial Group. During his career with the Bank, he has covered every role in Import, Export, Standby Letters of Credit and Collections as well as integral operations leadership roles throughout the evolution of BMO’s trade finance business. He is a Certified Documentary Credit Specialist and Chair of the BAFT Southeast Letter of Credit Committee.

Mr. Jerry Glock comes to us with over 44 years of experience in Global Trade Operations, with 21 years at Citi in various positions. For the last 12 years he has been one of Citi’s Global Trade Advisors, assisting with providing guidance in all functions of Letters of Credit (Advising Commercial / Standby L/C’s and Examination of Documents), Import and Export Collections, Reimbursements and Compliance and Potential Risk items. Mr. Glock is CDCS (Certified Documentary Credit Specialist) certified and also represents Citi as the Vice Chair on the Southeast Letter of Credit Committee and a member of the Collection Committee.


Thomas Hrubecky, CDCS

Mr. Hrubecky, a 25+ year experienced Global Trade practitioner represents Fifth Third Bank as a Global Trade Services Specialist with a particular focus on Import-related services providing timely, highly customer-centric, technically astute guidance to external and internal clients. He aids clients with maximizing their use of trade instruments and delivers a differentiating level of customer experience. Prior to Fifth Third Bank, he has worked with RBS, Comerica, ABN Amro, Bank of America, HSBC and National Westminster Bank. He has maintained the Certified Documentary Credit Specialist accreditation since the certification’s inception in 1999.

Ms. Becky Marrero is Marine Manager of Roanoke Trade’s Miami, FL office and has been with Roanoke Trade since 1998. With more than 23 years of experience in the insurance industry, she currently specializes in cargo insurance underwriting, marine technical expertise, marketing, account management, sales and customer service. A licensed insurance broker, she earned the professional designations of Certificate Insurance Counselor (CIC) in 2002, Certified Marine Insurance Professional (CMIP) in 2010 and is working towards an Associates in Marine Insurance Management (AMIM). She is an approved Lloyd’s coverholder and presently holds underwriting authority for the Watkins Syndicate.


Susan E. Wilkinson

Ms. Susan Wilkinson brings 43 years of banking experience; 40 of those years in Global Trade Operations, starting her career in documentary collections at First National Bank of Mobile, moving on to assisting in the formation of the first Edge-Act Bank in the State of Alabama – AmSouth Bank International and then, becoming Manager of the Trade Operations Unit of AmSouth Bank, Mobile, AL. She is now responsible for operations support and business development of trade services for the Gulf South Region of Hancock/Whitney Banking Group. She has been a member of the BAFT Southeast Letter of Credit Committee since 2000 and serves on the Planning Committee.


Charnell Williams, CDCS

Ms. Charnell Williams is a Director in Citi’s Transactions Services where she is the Global Trade Services Product Manager responsible for covering all Trade products and services, risk and controls, and global technical training. She has been with Citi for 17 years and in the Global Trade Business for over 36 years. She is recognized as an industry expert in the Global Trade Services community. In 2003 and 2010 Ms. Williams was named Conference Chair for the BAFT Annual Conference Committee, a member of the 2007 and 2009 Conference Committee, and in 2006 - 2011 she served as a member of BAFT’s Board of Directors.
