During this interactive forum, a panel of experts will shine light on fraud in trade finance using real-life examples – from showcasing different typologies and how to identify and stop trade fraud, to SME funding gap and new regulations and technologies in consideration. Then immediately after the session, participate in roundtable discussions with the speakers and other industry experts for a deeper dive conversation on the topic. This is your opportunity to engage and ask our experts in a live virtual setting!
Fraud in trade, receivables and supply chain finance: it is out there, hiding in plain sight. Don’t let it be your next big shock.
Using real-life examples, our industry experts will shine a light on fraud in trade finance. Multiple typologies will be covered including duplicate financing, fake documents, collateral fraud, vendor scams and fraud as a predicate crime for laundering money via shell companies and complex legal structures with hidden ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs).
The session will also discuss the impact fraudsters have on ordinary people and the resulting widening of the trade finance/SME funding gap, as financial institutions defrauded pull back from markets and withdraw products and liquidity.
Immediately following the session, you can participate in a live virtual roundtable discussion with our speakers and other industry experts. This is your opportunity to ask questions not answered during the session and or have a more in-depth conversation in a smaller group setting.
